The submission period to enrol in our 3rd Viseu International Guitar Competition has started. If you are under 35 years old, you have until April 20th to make your participation official and compete for a chance to win the first prize of 8.000€. Besides the monetary prize, the winner of the competition will also perform in the 12th Viseu International Spring Music Festival (2019) and at the International Guitar Festival of J. K. Mertz in Paris.

For the runner-up we have a prize of 3.000€ and the last place in the podium will take home 1.500€. The audience will have a chance to give an award of 500€ to their favorite guitarist. For the Best Portuguese in the competition there is also a 500€ prize.

After two successful editions, Viseu International Guitar Competition is being praised for it’s quality. In the past, the fisrt place was been awarded to Xavier Jara (U.S.A) and Davide Giovanni Tomasi (Italy) and we are now waiting for the next big talent.

This year we expect to gather participants in Viseu (Portugal), from all over the world. The first eliminations round starts on 26th of April with the final schedule to the night of April 28. All the rounds will be open to the public.
